This question has been coming up more and more.  So we thought we would give you a couple of things to do to make sure you get on the first page of Google.

The first way to get on Google is by the Google map.

To get on the Map you will need to create a Google account.  Then follow the steps you will find here

When you are doing this, you will need to be by your business phone as Google will call you with a 5 digit code that you will need to input on the computer to verify you are the business owner and/or an employee of the business.

The second question we get is: how do I get on the first page of Google via particular phrases?

There is a rule of thumb that reads “The higher your website ranking is, the higher you will be on Google Searches!”

Here are a couple of things you will need to do:

1.  Write down ten phrases. Example: home inspector in Kansas City, home inspections in Kansas City

Every day go to Google and type in these phrases. Go through each page until you find your website. Click on your website and navigate through the website for about a minute.

Do this for each phrase per day. ONLY do it once a day because Google will only count your first hit as a hit. (Google refreshes its history every 24 hours)

2.  Always go to Google to get to your website. Even though you know your domain name, always go to Google and type in “mydomainname.com”

The more hits your website gets on Google the higher you will climb!  Following these two simple rules will get your website to climb the ranks quickly.
